A line bet on a roulette table is when you place a bet on six numbers that are next to each other. In the example image to the left, a Line Bet has been placed on the numbers 7,8,9,10,11 and 12.
A line bet is considered to be an “Outside Bet” on a roulette table. Casinos will often have different minimum and maximum bet sizes on inside and outside bets. So make sure you are aware of these limits before you attempt to place your bets.
How To Place a Line Bet
To place a Line Bet, place your chip on the edge of the table, directly on the line in between the the two rows of numbers you wish to select (as shown in the image above).

All winning line bets on either a European or an American roulette table pay out at odds of 5 to 1.
