The chance of a single number being spun in is 1 in 37 on a European roulette table (single zero), and 1 in 38 on an American table (double zero).
A single number bet is also known as a “Straight Up Bet”.
To place your bet, simply place your chip on the number you wish to target. Make sure you place the chip directly over the number and not touching the lines, otherwise you may end up placing a split bet (betting on two adjacent numbers).
If you want to, you can place as many single number bets you like. But remember, for every extra number you choose, your return if you will be be reduced.
Single Number Odds on a Roulette Table
Whether you are playing at an American or European roulette table, the casino always pays out at odds of 35 to 1 on single number bets.
